Spanish Literature Honors (#5105)
This course is designed to prepare students to excel in the AP Spanish Literature course. The course is principally for students who will be taking AP® the following year. As well, the course serves as solid preparation for introductory college level Spanish literature courses.

Spanish I (#5211)
This course develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills with an emphasis on grammar, culture, and communication. Students learn to use language meaningfully and begin to develop the proficiency to communicate as well as demonstrate an understanding of the practices, perspectives, and products of the target language and culture.

This course prepares students for the successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Program. It develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills with an emphasis on grammar, culture, and communication. This course continues to provide opportunities to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The focus is to learn advanced structures and vocabulary necessary to interact socially. It seeks to empower students to communicate feelings as well as provide & request information. Cultural appreciation and topics are integrated throughout the implementation of this course.

Spanish VI (#5225)
This course is an advanced measure and independent study course designed to facilitate the production of original literature study. Students, with the guidance of their teacher, build a portfolio of products/literary studies as a process towards a final presentation.

This course is the second year of a two-year course leading to the IB examination. External assessment at HL consists of exercises to demonstrate understanding of texts based on the core themes and an extended written passage. Internal assessment for HL tests students’ abilities in listening and speaking in a genuine conversation format.
